Another year, another resounding success for Purdicom’s Open Day!
Every year we open our doors to our customers, inviting one and all to meet the people who work hard to bring you the best in wireless, cloud and switching innovation. From the person behind the phone who brings you the best deals, to the vendors who live and breathe their technology, everyone gathered at Purdicom to enjoy the sun, food and networking opportunities.
And we really couldn’t have asked for better weather to grace Purdicom’s 2018 Open day. The sun beamed down throughout the day, which allowed for a mostly outdoor event with vendors stationed throughout the offices and across the beautiful surrounding grassland.
Perfect weather for a free ice cream—and Purdicom supplied. Our ice cream van wasn’t given a moment’s rest!
Those that sought a reprieve from the sun made their way to Kate’s café for free beverages, cakes and pastries available to satisfy their sweet cravings.
With a packed carpark as evidence of the massive turnout, everyone kept our vendors busy throughout the day. The addition of pre-booked Purdi Talks featuring guest speakers from Ruckus, Cambium Networks and Siklu were hugely popular, attracting big crowds.
The recurring feedback theme received from attendees told us they’d come to learn about specific things and speak to specific people, but they’d never expected to come away with so much more information and new solution prospects.
The word of the day was definitely ‘Eye opening’.
Quickly followed by ‘Delicious’, as Bluegrass Bills pulled through with one of the most fantastic lunch offerings we’ve had to date. Cajun slow and smoky pulled beef chuck chilli, roasted sweet potato and bean veggie chilli, and Louisiana sausage hot dogs all meant our attendees (and staff!) were spoilt for choice. Big portions and big flavours filled every hungry belly in the area.
We want to thank everyone who attended; our vendors, staff, Bluegrass Bills, and Mario with his amazing ice cream van. We look forward to next year and hope to see you there!
