The PTP 650 Release 01-11 was posted to the Cambium Networks support web site today and this release adds the following key features:
- Support for PTP 650S, the targeted solution for small-cell backhaul and other short-range NLOS links
- 5/10/15 MHz channels (in addition to already supported 10/20/40/45 MHz channels)
- Support for TDD-SYNC reducing self-interference in co-location applications
- Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE1588-2008 Precision Timing Protocols for 4G/LTE Macro and Micro cell backhaul applications
- Support for 5.2GHz and 5.9GHz regulatory bands in countries where they are allowed
- Spectrum Expert – new visualisations of the DSO data improving troubleshooting and frequency planning
- Other Reliability/Performance improvements and defect corrections (eg. improved ATPC, fixes for remote ping)
LINKPlanner version 3.6.5 is also posted and supports all features above.
This release adds significant new functionality and all existing customers should be encouraged to upgrade. The software, documentation and release notes can be found here:
