With the introduction of the MultiHaul™ TG series of products, Siklu brings to the L2 Software Defined Networking (SDN) mesh market the same expertise and technological innovation that have made them a leader in the point-to-point E-band and point-to-multiband V-band market. MultiHaul™ TG products operate in the widely available and license-exempt 60GHz V-Band and deliver multi-Gigabit throughputs. And now “Gigabits for All” is even more of a reality as Siklu’s third generation of multipoint 60GHz products is Terragraph certified.
Terragraph is set to deliver Gigabit connectivity for all. This brand-new wireless technology has been designed to meet the ever-increasing demand for reliable, high-speed internet access in dense and urban environments. This includes solutions for applications such as high bandwidth IoT devices such as video cameras and public Wi-Fi backhaul and smart city connectivity.
According to Facebook, Global IP traffic will reach 396 exabytes per month, over the next five years. That’s a threefold increase. And what is an exabyte? Well, astonishingly it’s 1 billion gigabytes or 1 trillion megabytes. The number of devices connected to the internet is also on the rise and is expected to at least double in the same time period.
This is a jaw-dropping progression that brings many challenges. Currently, access to high-speed broadband connectivity is limited, and this is mainly due to poor last-mile connections. More than a billion people worldwide rely on vastly outdated last-mile infrastructure, and not all premises can be connected via fibre which is often cost-prohibitive and sometimes impossible to deploy – especially in built-up towns and cities or rural areas where the cost of disruption is too great.
Terragraph is a technology operating on a 60GHz band and delivering the same speeds as fibre. Terragraph offers a faster, cleaner and better alternative to fibre with superior connectivity at a significantly lower cost. It can be brought to market in a matter of weeks.
Terragraph technology can be deployed straight onto existing street furniture such as lamp posts, rooftops, the side of buildings or traffic lights. This makes it far simpler to install than wired alternatives. It can be easily scaled and deploys a multi-node mesh network for added reliability.
The ability to create multiple self-backhaul links enables diverse traffic routing to support differentiated SLA levels, as well as carrier-grade make-before- break redundancy with sub-50ms traffic switch-over.
The L2 SDN mesh network will automatically establish connectivity between all nodes and reroute traffic based on performance in terms of capacity, oversubscription and even latency to determine the best paths.
Siklu’s advanced SmartHaul™ tools, WiNDE for network design, and ENMS for management both support the MultiHaul TG series. All of Siklu’s SmartHaul™ software systems can be Cloud-based or premise located.
Combining the advanced self-organizing centralised controls and provisioning with superior automatic beam steering means installations can be done quickly and with minimal skillsets.
Options are almost endless. Each network may have critical sites that require redundant connectivity, or perhaps multiple ports with optional PoE-Out, or a fibre handoff from the Node or TU.
Providing cutting-edge technology at a low cost of ownership, at a price point palatable to end-users combined with an attractive return on investment. Bringing gigabit connectivity to everyone.
The MultiHaul™ TG series of products from Siklu advances L2 Software Defined Networking (SDN) mesh technology and innovation and is now its third generation of multipoint 60GHz products and Terragraph-compliant.
With the MultiHaul™ TG series, Siklu has been able to lower the cost of delivering Gigabit wireless connectivity to homes, businesses and Smart Cities. A single unit that provides 360-degree coverage, the N366 provides up to 16Gbps of capacity. The N366 also features built-in self-backhaul, autonomous L2 network self-healing ability and the industry’s most advanced, cloud-based SaaS network design and implementation toolkit.
MULTIHAUL™ TG NODE N367 – Enhanced 360-degree coverage in one unit for Terragraph deployments
A Wide Range of Applications
The MultiHaul™ TG Nodes operate with 4 independent sectors over the millimeter-wave spectrum using narrow beams. This confers several advantages including multigigabit capacity in dense deployments. With 4 independent high-gain beam-forming antennas, a multitude of network topologies can be realised to optimise coverage, capacity, and performance.

MULTIHAUL™ TG TERMINAL UNIT N265 – Scalable options in Terragraph deployments
A Wide Range of Applications
The MultiHaul TG family of products brings the advantages of mmWave spectrum – multigigabit capacity, immunity to interference, and massive amounts of the available spectrum – to an easy-to-deploy solution with the addition of L2 SDN mesh, enabled by Siklu’s SmartHaul™ NMS with the Runner subsystem, for stress-free coverage extension and multi-path reliability. MultiHaul TG Node N265 is an additional Node option when either significant vertical tilt adjustment or a focused 90° coverage is required.
MULTIHAUL™ TG TERMINAL UNIT T265 – Service options in Terragraph deployments
A Wide Range of Applications
The MultiHaul™ TG system marks the release of Siklu’s 3rd generation point to multipoint 60GHz products, this one with Terragraph certification. The TG network solution consists of Nodes operating over millimetre waves in a redundant mesh topology which also connect to Terminal Units (TU). The T265 communicates to the N366 TG Distribution node using the TG protocol, acting as an end point in a fully meshed MH TG topology. The T265 is Siklu’s first TG TU and incorporates several features from our standard MH TU. The T265 offers up to 3 ports with both copper and fibre interfaces as well as a PoE out port to power third-party devices such as video cameras. The MH-T260 is available for single-port applications.

The TG network solution consists of Nodes operating over millimeter waves in a redundant mesh topology which also connect to Terminal Units (TU). The T260, Siklu’s mini TG TU, communicates to the N36x TG Distribution node using the TG protocol, acting as an end point in a fully meshed MH TG topology. The T260 is Siklu’s 3rd TG TU and incorporates several features from its predecessors. The T260 is a small and aesthetic Terminal Unit for the single-family home and other applications requiring gigabit performance in an easy to install form factor.
